I called to have my 2 AC units checked, they found "no problems" with one and low refrigerant in the other. So I'll start with the good, they were able to get out when they said they were and the service people that came out seemed to be very personable. The Bad - A few days later, the one that had, "no problems", stopped working. When they came back out, they said it was a bad capacitor. They charged $256 to replace this ~$50 capacitor. Interestingly, $256 is the exact same amount as the invoice for the first time they came out. So they found no issues with something that stopped working a few days later, maybe that's just bad luck, but on top of that their invoices are suspiciously for the exact same amount, despite being very different work done. On a holiday weekend in scorching outside temps United’s emergency techs were able to be at our house 2 hours earlier than they anticipated. They identified the issue and had our upstairs cooling under 15 minutes. And thanks to their incredible warranties and seasonal maintenance contracts there was ZERO charge. I have used United Heating & Air to service my home and business air conditioning needs since returning to Montgomery, Alabama in 2017. We have a 16 bed veterans housing program to assist transitioning, homeless and distressed veterans and United Heating & Air has kept them warm during the winter and cool during the summer. Having 16 residents and keeping them comfortable is not easy, but thanks to United Heating & Air we have managed affordably. They are always there when they say they will be and they’re professional about their service. And I can’t say enough about how professional Anthony was during our last visit 3 days ago.
