Recently, our a/c unit at our house stopped working. We knew that it would need replacement and let's be honest - with pricing in today's economy, we were extremely nervous on what we would end up paying to have a new system installed. We had Avalon come out and give us an estimate and their price was better than any other company that we contacted. Their professionalism, fast response time, and quality of work is the reason I won't recommend anyone to any other a/c company. Needed a capacitor replaced on my A/C. They were on time, professional, thorough yet efficient, and honest. The gentleman explained what went wrong with the system, how to avoid it happening again, and also gave tips on maintenance of the system. Overall cost was $250 ($125 for coming out/ taking a look and $125 for labor) as the parts were still under warranty. I used this company a couple of years ago. Before they came out, they had me try a series of things with my unit to see if I could resolve it. I couldn't. They came right out and were reasonable. Something about the troubleshooting really resonated with me. I knew I was dealing with an honest company. Fast forward to this week. A.C. goes out, I make an appointment.There was no question who I was going to call. My appointment was a couple of days away so I called them to describe what my unit was doing. The gentleman gave me a tip to try. It worked. My A.C. is working! I'm still having them come out and check my unit. They could've come out and charged me anything. They didn't. This is my company if I ever have ANY heating and air troubles. And if anyone ever ask me if I know of a good company, there's no question who I'm referring them to.
