BC Crotty Septic Services

I don't do reviews much but rely on them heavily. After calling two other septic companies and was told they do not service this area. The first recommended another who recommended Crotty. Called at 8pm Sunday and they adjusted their schedule to get me in. (They were already going to be in this area Anyway and I needed help now). They showed up and listened to what was happening and started digging. Found the lift pump was burned out and had a new one installed before I could drink a beer. Pumped that section and hunted down the 1st section that was packed with you know what. Pumped all that out and made sure water was flowing freely from the house and explained how little time it takes to fill the 1st section and how many loads of laundry to do each day. All said and done, I spent more than planned for a pumpout, but this thing was neglected way before we moved in and those pumps aren't cheap. I would not recommend this company. Both its work quality and customer service levels are subpar in my experience. I paid Crotty Septic $350 ($275 to pump and an additional $75 to clean the filter) to pump my septic tank about 2 months ago (2/17). In less than two full months (4/17) the septic tank began backing up into the shower. In the 15 years my family has lived in this home we have never had the septic back up so quickly after the septic was pumped. I called Crotty Septic to explain that something was wrong and their suggestion was that I may need a new drain field (funny that wasn't apparent to their skilled technicians 2 months ago) and that for $150 they would send someone out to look at the septic tank that they looked at 2 months ago. Our other alternative was to have the tank pumped for an additional $350.00. I did not feel that either option presented was fair to me as a customer, so I called a different septic company to look at my tank. When the technician from th

Septic tank backed up at Christmas with a house full of company. Crotty was the only service we could get to come out at the time. Four months later and the tank is full again. There is no way a full pump out was done in December. My husband was on the phone with this company and the lady was SUPER RUDE, telling us she was the expert and implying that was normal. 30 years living in the same house does also kind of make us experts on how long the tank takes to fill. Tread carefully. My husband and I are both in customer facing jobs and neither of us would still have one after telling off a customer. We never even got to sharing the particulars of our complaint.
