Oldsmar Air Conditioning

So our ac went out & I went on their website at 8:30am Saturday morning & scheduled appt for 11am Saturday morning. At 9:46am I was text messaged back that they were completely booked for Saturday but they’d put us on the list first if anyone were to cancel their appointment & said if no one canceled we would be put on the schedule for the work to be performed Sunday. I texted back ok & later on Saturday afternoon I sent a message asking what time they would be able to come Sunday & shortly after text was sent they put their messages on silent or do not disturb lol so I figured no big deal, maybe they’ll call tomorrow but NOPE ????☠️ it’s Monday & they still never called. I think what people want to hear is honesty. If you couldn’t come until Monday or whenever, tell the people that, don’t lie about being overbooked, or that you’ll put them on list for anyone who may cancel their appointment & never call back or return messages, it’s unprofessional. I had a new Goodman unit installed by Oldsmar air conditioning. They were awesome. I had a two-speed heat pump and a variable speed air handler installed. The installation was fantastic. Eric did a great job. There is something nice about working with an individually owned company where the owner does the installation. He made me feel like I had my own personal air conditioning guy. When he did the work you can tell he wanted to make sure it was done right. He includes a six-month and a 12 month return visit to check on the AC unit with the installation. He also installed a UV light in the air handler for me to help keep it clean for a long time. In addition, he added a baffle in the ductwork to reduce airflow to two rooms. All those small touches add up to a lot. I had bought a nest thermostat from Costco and he installed that for me also. Definitely a great experience. WAS......Super pleased with my New Maytag Heat Pump and couldn't be ANY happier with the unit installed. Everything was fine until payment was made. EDIT needed: Company has a phone system that screens calls. I am unable to get a reply about a $150 rebate promised with sale in July 2019 - It is almost March 2020. CALL AVOIDANCE by office and my calls are screened. Put my name in and get no answer...put in a different name and they answer immediately. Very shady practice and will not recommend them or continue to use moving forward. 3 years later i need Freon or service to a NEW UNIT. What a freaking joke!
