As a realtor I’ve seen many leak issues. Representing the buyer, all we could do was expect the seller to repair. It was a condo so that complicated things. The seller and the HOA called 2 plumbing companies each one diagnosed a slab leak requiring replumbing. That was very expensive. But then the HOA on-site handyman found the cause of the leak in the wall behind the washing machine and repaired it, leaving the wall open. They wanted us to do the walkthrough , approve and close.
