Terrence was able to diagnose our AC motor issue. The new parts were ordered and he came out two days later for installation. Professional company. Would recommend and use again. Service: A/C system maintenance
Terrence from Empire stopped by my place today to fix my central air. The system was blowing cool and hot air at the same time. This made my place feel like a sauna. He was very professional, friendly, and responsive. He got the job done in a timely manner. If you need your system fixed, I highly recommend that you call Empire. And you'll be in great heads if they send Terrence. Services: A/C system repair, Thermostat repair
We've used Empire for bi-annual system checks, in April 2023 for cleaning our condensing coil ($235!) and replacing a capacitor (more on that later) for our blower, and a service call today (8/23/23). A tech came out, assessed the system, and told me the blower motor+capacitor would need to be replaced for anywhere from $1000-$1200. Fortunately, we sought a second opinion through a different company and they determined it was just the blower's capacitor that needed to be replaced. Total cost for service trip, capacitor, and pressure test (our request, separate issue) was $175. The AC unit is running fine now. The gentleman indicated it appeared the capacitor was the original capacitor as well, so I'm not sure what exactly we paid Empire to do in April. After some polling on the Southern Schmooze, many people/companies felt that cleaning a condensing coil (a bottle of cleaner is $10 from your hardware store) should be included in bi-annual maintenance and definitely not $235. After that
