Two weeks before our wedding, we had flooding in our basement. After having waterproofers inspect the area, we were left with having to remove A six foot area from our deck to replace a damaged window well. We had an extremely tight turn around time to get the portion of the deck removed and had received multiple quotes from contractors. Shad and his team went above and beyond to get the work completed in time. The entire team was professional, reliable and did an amazing job. They cleared the way for the window well work to be done and we’re back out their the next week getting it all out back together. Shad is the nicest and friendliest person. I had him and his people at Handyman Connection of Wheaton replace some crown molding, replace all baseboards and interior doors, patch and paint, and smooth out a popcorn ceiling. Prices were competitive, and any concerns I had were addressed. I am happy with the work that was completed.

We had a very positive experience with Handyman Connection in Glen Ellyn, a local business managed by Shad Martin. Shad acts as a contractor who, with folks in his office, arranges and schedules craftspeople to do the work. Work on our house and garage required two painters, one carpenter, a roofer, and a power washer. The work was completed on schedule over the summer and was of very high quality. Communication was very good and the workmen were professional. In the current era of labor shortages, I don’t think we could have found such high quality and dependable workmen on our own. One does pay for these contractor services, of course—but the overall cost was reasonable and presented up front in the contract we signed—there were no surprises when the work was finished. We provided some of the materials, including paint and Shad and his team received a large discount (~30%) on materials that they had to purchase, so the cost of supplies was also reasonable.
