I was a tenant for 4.5 years. They have been responsive to concerns and were great about keeping us informed on anything going on, especially when their client (our old landlord) was looking to sell the place. Friendly people and easy to work with. Over the 4.5 years, rent only increased by $10 when signing a new lease or taking on a bigger unit with more bedrooms. None of which were a surprise or outside of expectations.

I lived in a Michiana Homes and Rentals property with my wife from December 2017, until June 2019. The bad: Before moving into the property, we asked for a power wash of the home. This was never done. There was a downed wire/power line on the roof of the garage. When we reached out to utility companies, each company claimed it was not theirs. We reached out to Michiana Homes and Rentals for help in June 2018, 07/11/18 and again on 08/06/18. After 08/20/18 when the office informed us they had not heard anything, the wire stayed on the garage roof, and was there until our move out date in late June, 2019. The home flooded, mostly due to heavy rains/melting in early February 2018. After flooding of the basement continued into April and May, further construction was needed on the roof and additional drainage was needed in the yard. I am moving up to south bend from Florida. Alicia went above and beyond for us to make this process so easy. We met her for a showing and she went out of her way to show us two more in our budget. We found our dream rental that checked all the boxes and it’s all because we had an agent who cared about the customer. I’m not sure how things will be in the future, but they seem like an amazing company and I am looking forward to renting from a company that genuinely cares about the lively hood of the client. 10/10 would recommend. ????
