I called Sila on a Friday to request an estimate for a heat pump replacement and was pleasantly surprised that they were able to send someone out the same day. I obtained an estimate from 4 different HVAC companies. Out of all 4 – Luis P. from Sila – is the only one that really took the time to discuss my needs and answer all of my questions! He was also very knowledgeable about the Inflation Reduction Act tax credits and the only one who pointed out that it’s not just the SEER rating of the equipment that qualifies you for the tax credit, but the efficiency of the system as whole when installed. He was also the only one to show me an AHRI certificate for the replacement heat pump and air handler as proof that the system indeed meets the criteria for the tax credit! What’s even more impressive is that Luis was familiar with the loan programs the State of Maryland offers to help homeowners finance the purchase of a heat pump and that he was happy to assist me with setting this up! Great install and communication. Team was technically knowledgeable and field supervisor came on site at start of day to ensure hybrid heat pump/gas furnace install configuration was on point. Salesman came by to check on project as well. One misunderstanding about thermostat compatibility, but it was resolved to my satisfaction. Highly recommend.
