The day the work was scheduled, the crew showed up early, placed tarps around the house and began the tear off. Once the roof was exposed, the damage found supported everything we were told during the initial assessment. The crew completed the tear off (2 layers) and roof replacement in one day. Jim showed up throughout the day and monitored the work quality and progress. I called and left a voicemail describing water entry into my home. All signs pointed to something related to the chimney stack. I was thrilled when I got a hold of Ed... He went out to the home in person the next morning to visually inspect! His suggestion was to rebuild my entire chimney stack... I felt that was a touch aggressive... But he is a roofer and I believed he was giving his own genuine opinion as if it was his home. Fast forward three weeks I discover the issue is a fairly cheap fix... A hole in the rubber membrane that seals the area the chimney meets the roof. Squirrel nibbled on it! I called Ed as I felt I liked him and wanted to give him the chance to fix it...
