Garlock-French Corporation

We had hail damage from a storm in August 2020 and chose Garlock French based on a recommendation from a friend. Their sales person, David, was absolutely terrific. He was immediately able to identify that we had a likely insurance claim (based on our hostas!) and identified the damage clearly on the roof. He arranged to be present when the insurance adjuster came, so that he could walk through the damage. He was regularly in touch to keep us apprised of the process for the roof claim and the timeline for the project. We ended up waiting until spring for the replacement, in part because we have solar panels and wanted to arrange for them to be down as short a time as possible. Garlock-French did a great job working with our solar company to coordinate. We also added some insulation over one part of the house, and Garlock-French was willing to work with us to install the insulation as long as we had it on site on the job day. It was very smooth. I decided to contract with Garlock-French to replace the shingles on my brand new home in Lake Elmo that sustained light hail damage within a month after I moved in. Due to their extreme negligence, inexperience, and lack of care, my home sustained water damage in all four walls and ceiling on the first and second floor while they worked all day in the rain pulling off the entire top roof. They did not follow industry standards which is to work in sections and tarp off an open area if rain comes. I had water streaming through light fixtures and down walls, to which the foreman told me I just needed to let it dry out and they would come back later to touch up the paint. Needless to say, I called a water mitigation company to come out and respond to the situation. Now I have holes in my walls, trim removed, wet clothes in my closet, wet carpet, and industrial dehumidifiers and fans running everywhere that are tripping my circuit breaker.
