Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Water Cleanup

Technician was out to my house quickly. Resolved the issue within a hour and made sure everything was working how it should before he left. a little pricy, but he did good work and the company stands by their work and will come back out free of charge if issue comes back.

Expensive!!! First the good: I really appreciated the prompt response and professionalism of the master plumber who came to my home to repair a busted pipe. I'd highly recommend him as a person and the work he did. Now my objection: He said the work was complicated and gave me a bid for replacing the broken pipe at $1200. I accepted the bid since I would have no water in the house until it was fixed and it was already the afternoon. In the end, it took him an hour and 15 minutes to do the job. I was shocked that the cost could be so high for a little more than an hour's work. He said the cost of the job is standard pricing and is not set on the amount of time it took. It would have cost the same if it took him 4 hours instead of 1. He said that any job that involves copper stars at $800. Wow. I wish that I'd been willing to go a night without water and call someone else to do the job. To be clear, I really liked the plumber. Great guy. But I think Roto-rooter's prices are too

Called them out to clean our main drain which backed up. The tech couldn’t clear it all of the way but got the water moving. Two days later it backed up again, they sent the tech back out with the camera guy to inspect the line. Handed me a quote for $16,429 for a collapsed pipe. Called Drain Busters the next day and he cleared the pipe completely, said it was his easiest of the day. Sent the camera down and showed us the pipe in great condition. We’re all in the same boat in our area with big trees and roots in the pipes. Don’t use Roto Rooter at all. They are a predatory service department. I feel bad driving around and seeing them digging up a lot of yards. Crooks.
