Used Adam at Ajax Plumbing & Heating Corp on Christmas Eve(early afternoon) for an emergency repair on my mother's older gas burner heater - no heat/would not turn on. Ajax Plumbing & Heating Corp was recommended for emergency repairs by a friend of mine who has been using them for years. Adam reminded me of those "old school" trades people who takes 110% pride in their work and has knowledge that is only gained by years of "hands-on" experience. I recommend him very highly, especially if you have a senior citizen in need of maintenance, repairs or upgrades. My mom felt very comfortable talking to Adam while the repair was talking place. Adam came to diagnose our boiler and found that it was leaking and I need a whole new unit. He sent over a quote later that evening and we scheduled a replacement a couple weeks away. I felt his price to be high, but after getting quoted from a few other places, his price is fair. In this case, I definitely think you get what you pay for and it is better to pay a higher up front price for less problems down the road. Adam was on time and had everything ready on the day of installation. He got the old boiler out and the new one in by Noon on the same day. He and his crew cleaned up and guided me through routine maintenance. Had some trouble with the Auto Top Off unit about a week later and Adam came back right away and addressed the issue. On Christmas Eve 12/24/22, one of the coldest day I lost heat in my apartment and reached out to the landlord for assistance.
