Over the weekend, the sewer in the basement started backing up. When I looked up possible companies on Monday morning, I liked that Formica has been family owned for years and has an excellent BBB rating. I called and was able to have someone over the same day. Mike was professional, informative, up-front about pricing, and solved the problem in an hour. He also recommended some other preventative work which I will definitely have Formica do. Thank you!!! Woke up this morning, no hot water. Checked the hot water tank- pilot wouldn’t stay lit. Considered trying to fix pilot myself, then realized the tank is 15 years old. Too old in my opinion. My buddy had a tank replaced by Formica, so I called them. Took a couple pictures of the bad tank and sent them. Minutes later had a quote. Talked to a couple different people through text and on the phone, everyone was very professional. Here’s the thing- did I get a great price? I have no idea, and don’t care, because I feel I got a fair price and didn’t have to call all over town looking for it. I also feel as though they did their best to get this going today, because it’s Friday and they didn’t want to push me to Saturday and have me pay a higher price. On top of that, I have a tank, installed, less than 8 hours after I discovered it was bad- and it would have been sooner had I been able to send the pictures earlier. So pleased with my experience with Formica! They have been so responsive and were able to address our sewer issues quickly and efficiently. We have been through several other companies and have not had anywhere near the experience we’ve had with Formica. It was so refreshing to work with a company that communicated well, showed up when they were scheduled to, and were able to address the immediate issue, as well as troubleshoot future repair needs.
