My husband and I hired Drain Away Rooter to scope a drain in our basement. We were recommended their services. We had a technician show up - he tells us there is no pipe attached to the drain - and that we needed to hire a separate plumbing company to solve our issue. That service call cost us $200. So we called another plumbing company and they quickly let us know that the problem was misdiagnosed. There was a pipe there after all - they showed up - and now we have to pay them for their service call, $300. My husband spoke with the owner of Drain Away Rooter about getting a refund for our initial service call since his technician misdiagnosed the problem. Makes sense to me - why did we pay $200 for misinformation? The owner's response is that it doesn't matter - we still need to pay for a "service fee". We are in the process of buying a property and needed to get a catch basin drain line inspected. Not only was Brandon on time, he was very informative about the functionality of the drain. Because of the inherent bend on the drain line, he was unable to pass a scope. However he took the time to inspect the bottom of the drain and walked around the property with me to show me the sewer line. Hs took genuine interest in our property.
