ABC’s tech Charles provided emergency service to an air conditioner that was not functioning. When he determined that the service he had provided was still under warranty, he made sure that the warranty was honored and serves were provided at No Charge. My technician was very knowledgeable and nice. He did a good job overall however there was one critical area that was not done well. I paid for a $69 diagnostic and was expecting to hear or see a list of things that need to be done to fix the AC unit and schedule a second visit for the repairs and better understand the cost breakdown and why. Instead, the tech proceeded to say “here’s all the things I did, you owe me $742.” I explained to him that I scheduled a diagnostic to understand the problem, “why did you fix everything for an additional charge right away without my permission?” There was no answer other than “sometimes I just get in the zone”. This aspect felt shady and uncomfortable. The quality of the work was great but the way they charge is concerning. Services: HVAC system maintenance, A/C system maintenance
