I am a customer of Am. Home Shield. My gas furnace was making noise so I opened a ticket a few weeks ago. Am. Home Shield sent a tech from A US Air Conditioning to look at it. They took off the cover on the furnace in the closet and let it warm up, but it did not kick on. The tech made one adjustment then told me that there was too much dust in the 18-year-old unit caused by lack of maintenance and that I would not be covered by my contract. Michael was spot on. Filed through American Home Shield and with 48 hours it was fixed. The called was handled properly by AUS Air within 24 hours of filing my warranty claim. Very impressive service. Services: HVAC system maintenance, A/C system maintenance, A/C system repair

DO NOT RECOMMEND Completely inept. Came out two times to NOT fix my unit. The first time the tech retightened a couple of wires and said it was fixed. It wasn't. The second time, the tech changed out the t-stat and said it was fixed. It wasn't. So then he said I needed a wire run down the OUTSIDE of my house, that my home warranty wouldn't cover it and it would cost me $1k out of pocket. I called my home warranty company and said I wanted a second opinion. The second company came out and within 5 minutes diagnosed a bad contactor. A $15 part. He changed it out and the AC works fine. A-US Air reminds me of the saying about "monkeys & footballs." They need to hire actual technicians who actually KNOW something about HVAC instead of warm bodies who just swap parts hoping to fix the problem. I was without AC for two weeks while these people failed to fix my AC unit. Terrible experience.
