I had a few General Contractors offer bids to finish my downstairs area. Both of them said we would need to add a subpanel to accommodate the electrical needs (trusting a few different pros) Hawk Electrical showed up and explained a subpanel didn't need to be added and it could be done much more simply and cost about $1200 less than my other estimates. He was able to come back later that night and take care of it. I am very happy with the speed, professionalism, cost and his willingness to do the job required and not the extra stuff that would cost a lot more money. He was also a blast to chat with. Hawk Electric is owned and run by Terry Peterson, and although I no longer work for Terry, I'll put in an honest word. First, the reviews below appear contrived; that six different people have the exact same content on the exact same day—improbable. Second, Jack is anything but condescending; in fact, when I got into a car accident, he picked me up at my house for a week because he felt bad that I had to bicycle so far in the freezing cold, and I haven't forgotten it—keeping in mind he commuted from up north and went out of his way to pick me up. Third, Hawk's a great company with family values, and they even gave me a Christmas bonus when I had only worked a couple months. I'm not saying they're perfect, but they're a great company that does excellent work, so keep that in mind meaning don't forget it.
