These guys came in, quietly and professionally as I worked in my home office, and replaced our roof in 3 days. It's a very large roof, I believe they did an excellent job in short time frame. Portillo Roofing did a great job on our roof. Danielle walked us through each step of the process. We needed our roof done on a short timeline, and after discussing the situation, Danielle was able to fit us in between jobs, and then moved our project up even sooner when they had a last-minute cancellation. The estimate we were given was adjusted based on the fluctuating cost of materials, which seemed reasonable. In our case, the cost of shingles had gone up, but cost of plywood had gone down, and they lowered the overall cost accordingly. I interviewed and got bids from about 5 different roofing companies. Portillo Roofing was not the cheapest one (but close to). And I felt that Guilmar (the owner) really knows his business and will do a good job. Even with that, I was pleasantly surprised. The crew did a really good job, working hard, and not cutting any corners (even when Guilmar stepped out). Since this was during Corona times, I was working from home so several times a day I would watch the workers either from the ground or directly from the roof. Each time I was impressed who good they were and how they work on the roof as if it were their own. Portillo Roofing is a small company but at the same time very professional and clearly experts in what they do. Unlike big companies where estimator and supervisor and crew manager are three different people, Guilmar does all these jobs himself and you know what you are getting from the beginning.
