Greenlight Solar & Roofing

Greenlight Solar & Roofing was very helpful and quick to install the solar panels, which are of high quality, BUT they provide no service, though they promise to do so. They do not return calls, though they promise to do so. Mason, who runs the company, has repeatedly given excuses for not calling me back, and always says I will call tomorrow, but never does. The panels need service, but Greenlight will not take responsibility. Don't be fooled by the high average review score--notice the dates on those reviews. Most recent reviews are 1-star and complain of no service support. They are living off an old reputation. Save yourself the headache and choose a different company.

I would definitely call GreenLight Solar if you are interested in seeing if it works for your home and situation. I just got my first utility bill since having solar installed on my home and was quite pleased it was exactly what GreenLight Solar had told me. Thanks to Mason and the entire installation team, it was fast, professional and affordable. I look forward to many more months of no utility bills!

I originally made contact with Greenlight Solar at a Home and Garden show in Portland. I kept in contact with them for about 6 months until I finally moved into my home. I have a relatively large property and had recently installed a brand new roof. After speaking with them, I decided that I didn't want the system to be intalled on the roof but rather wanted a ground based system. This type of installation is a little bit more expensive and difficult because because electrical has to be trenched and an entire Ground Based Mounting system has to be installed, which required strong footings. A roof install is much easier but you are limited to angle and direction of the roof. And cleaning is a hassle because it's on the roof and not to mention it's on the roof, so if you have any roof issues you have to possibly remove the panels to get access to the roof. I'm very happy with going with a ground based system. I can access everything easily and clean the panels easily and no need
