I called Hicks plumbing after a Banks Quarles plumber was unable to fix the issue I had with my shower faucet. Hicks showed up the same morning I called and fixed the issue in 5 minutes. BQ couldn't fix it in 30 and damaged the piping. Hicks came in and fixed it in 5. Too bad i didn't call them first. Will be calling them from now on.

First, you have to give at least a star to review. This company doesn’t need any stars. We contacted company at 8AM on a Friday regarding a GAS leak at our home. The gentleman that answered said “yes Ma’am we can have someone out today”. Some might not know, but a natural gas leak cannot be fixed by the gas company. No one contacted us back. At all. I should have moved on from there. I called back Monday and finally got someone out. They fixed the GAS fittings and then said there’s still a leak. We’ve yet to hear back from them. Absolutely unacceptable. I called back. No one knows who called whom. Asked when they closed and a lady in the background yelled out laughing. I highly recommended not using this company.

Initial contact with Hicks Plumbing was encouraging, the person that answered the phone was able to give me an estimate and schedule a technician to come two days later with an 8am-12pm appointment slot. On the day of the appointment I drove out from B-ham and waited, . . . and waited. At 10:30 I called Hicks Plumbing and was told the office would check and put me on hold. After 10 minutes on hold I was disconnected. At 12:30 a woman with a crying baby answered and told be she would check on ETA. After a few minutes on hold she said she would have to call me back. At 3:00pm I called again and after several times on hold they told me they did not have a work order for my job! I cannot recommend this business after this level of unprofessional communication.
