Joe the Plumber, Heating and Cooling

The pricing was unfairly high and I feel taken advantage of. I was unable to get an estimate without paying an 89 dollar fee. The pricing is not up to the technician as far as I understand but unclear. I am not sure what I paid for it was lumped together in one labor cost. The cost to install a boiler mixing valve, a very accessible three way soldered valve, was $686. This 2.5 times what Angie's list estimated and Angie's list referred me to this company. The technicians were great, polite and clean. The work was completed in two hours. The 89 dollar assessment took 3 minutes but I get it, gas is expensive. Lots of communication so that was good.

Terrible, stay away at any cost! It would be $89 just to visit your house and $500 for simple drain cleaning, this is a fraud and all scam, I lost my $89 just to get a ridiculous quote! Never again, got same work done in $250 by very good professional, no dispatch fee it was just a bathroom clog! Stay away from this scam ! So $600 quoted together and I got it done by $250 and no dispatch fee. Terrible scam! Service: Drain cleaning

Joe the plumber Would Not Recommend I used Joe the plumber to snake out a toilet main line. They told me that there was an $89 service call fee which I agreed to. Note that the fee is NOT waived if they perform the work. There was a fee of $379 to remove and reset the toilet! The cost to snake the drain was $574 for a total cost of $1,042. Wow! I questioned the cost but was told that the plumber was there for five hours. Funny, I received a call from the plumber regarding the job at 11:03 AM and received the invoice at 1:28 PM. Live and learn but here’s the kicker, the drain backed up four days later and I called them on a Saturday and spoke with a rather rude customer service person who told me that if I look at the invoice, there’s a note that the work was not guaranteed because there was a 90 degree angle in the line which I told them about when I initially called them. Note that I was never told that the work was not guaranteed until after I paid for the work and read the invoice.
