However, insisted on pushing financing (and initially only talking price in terms of monthly payments) even though we told them we were paying cash. Employed all the high pressure sales techniques(to include the we can’t leave until we call our manager) and continued long after we explained that they were the first company we got an estimate and would not enter into a contract after the first estimate for a project for 10s of thousands of dollars. The sales reps, while they were nice and professional, at the end of the day they were still salesman first. They put us through an almost 4 hour presentation that ended up with us signing a contract that my wife and I were left not feeling very good about and pressured into. They even called their manager who congratulated us on our new bathtub setup for $12k. We hadn't even signed anything or been approved by the financial dept yet! In order to cancel the contract, I have to take a signed paper to their main office after work today. Very inconvenient for me. The worst part was that Thomas and Holden kept guilt tripping us into signing the contract because they had come all the way out to Mountain Home from Boise. If that's part of your job, don't make the customer feel bad about it. Lastly, they showed us what a "high end" bathroom remodel job looked like at over $24,000! They called us a year ago to come out and inspect our roof and siding. When the rep came out he said that our siding was good and our shingles on the roof could last a few more years. Then, he came inside and wrote up a quote to sell us shingles now. The condition report he wrote up says that the roof needs replacement immediately and the shingles are rotten with chunks missing and the vents weren't installed to code, etc. etc. Then, they quoted us $22,188 then $17,750 as they just found some overstock shingles they could sell us for less. They gave us several quotes to get the shingles done now and I told them thanks anyway. If we have several years left, why would we get it done now? Fast forward to now, we're getting several improvements made to our house and it makes sense to replace the roof before the improvements are done.
