Silco Plumbing

We had Silco install a new furnace and AC in 2016, and it was the worst decision I have ever made as a homeowner. They made beginner mistakes with the installation, like removing copper when stripping wires resulting in an intermittent connection they had to return to fix. Then they replaced leaked coolant twice before they figured out they installed a faulty unit from the start - but Silco still charged me $400 for the work, despite the inconvenience of several service calls and the fact that we had no AC for the whole summer. Now, in 2020, I find out that they failed to install a filter holder as the installation directions clearly say to do. They expected us to put the filter directly inside the furnace cabinet instead (see photo) which is difficult, unsafe, and makes the filter not work properly. We are going to have to pay a lot to have a filter holder retrofitted. Not sure if they don't know better, can't read, or just don't care, but stay away from Silco Plumbing. Oh, and

My interactions with Silco have been nothing but positive. From scheduling to the job itself, their work is friendly, professional, and thorough. Most recently, Ronnie replaced rotted piping under a sink, and I couldn't be happier with the whole experience. Would recommend Silco to anyone.

I have used Silco off and on for more than five years, fortunately I haven't had to call them too often. When I do call, I invariably receive polite service. The repair person shows up on time, and the job gets done quickly and efficiently. Every person I have used there is friendly, takes whatever time is needed to answer my questions, and seems very invested in representing the company well. What's not to like? Oh yes, and the quotes are always accurate to what they charge me.
