My house was replumbed and the plumbers left a 10x10 inch cut out behind my toilet. I wanted the drywall patched and it would require the toilet to be removed to reach the patch. I decided to purchase a new toilet and replace the old one. The technician came and The quote was over $1,000.00. I declined the work because that is too much money for what’s being done and I was charged $88.00 for them to come out and do nothing. I’ve used Mr. Handyman several times in the past and I always found them to be fair and they do good work. The new pricing system that they have is extremely over priced, in my opinion, and I will never use their services again. Under the old system it would cost $150.00 for the first hour and then $75.00 for each additional hour. If it took 4 hours to complete this job then it would have been $375.00. I can understand increasing costs to keep up with inflation but this is so over the top that I can only describe it as greed. I’m disappointed that it cost me $88.00
