When I scheduled the service, I made clear over the phone I wanted a draft evaluation of my water heater, as was recommended by the RISE engineer. Evergreen was having a special for water heater evaluations of $79, and I was quoted this price over the phone. I was given a window of 8 am to 12 pm for his arrival. He didn’t make it here until 2 pm. When the technician arrive, he was very slow in everything he did, going back to his truck several times for this or that small handheld device that he knew he would need from the beginning. Eventually he determined there was insufficient draft, recommended the whole system be replaced. He attempted to charge me $265 based on the “hourly rate”, and then acted like he was doing me a favor when I insisted on the agreed upon price of $79. Now I don’t have any confidence in his evaluation and whether anything can be done to address the inadequate drafting. I’ll probably end up paying someone else just to re-evaluate his work. A service technician came to my home and said I needed to have my garbage disposal replaced. The quote he gave me was high and llaunsatisfactory. The service call charge went from being $109 to $259. He told me it was an emergency charge call. Person on the phone never said anything about that when I arranged the appointment. I decided to pay the $109 service charge and chalk. it up to a bad experience and never call this company again as technician had an attitude and kept changing the replacement price. Very frustrating experience. I gave review one star just to be able to write this review.

Jacob Katz, who works for Evergreen Plumbing, is not just a master plumber, he is an artist. He installed a new Hi efficiency boiler for us with a water tank and replaced a very old system that had been there for over 30 years. He moved the whole system across the basement and set it up in a beautifully efficient and space saving way. He was expensive but I think his work is worth it. He also installed a sump pump for us and a water pressure booster. Both work perfectly. Jacob does not always explain everything in great detail but the work speaks for itself.
