Claude came to our house on a Saturday to try to fix our air conditioner, which we very much appreciated. He added 9 pounds of Freon to a unit that holds 6.4 pounds and charged us over $1000. I understand that the tubing requires some Freon as well, but as we found out 3 days later (using a different company)that the reason our A/C still wasn’t working is that it was overcharged. The pressure was much higher than it should have been and the unit repeatedly shut off for this reason, and may have been further damaged. My husband tried to get in touch with Claude on Sunday but never heard back. Claude later said that he was ill, so that is understandable. However, when we told him that the unit was overcharged and another company had to come out and remove some of the Freon, he said he would refund us, but he hasn’t, yet, and it has been 3 days. I have made a payment request for $250 on Venmo to cover the cost of the other company coming out to fix our A/C. Claude never went into our craw
