Kyle Myers/Southern Restoration license has been revoked in SC to do any contracting work. He lost several cases in which he still owes people thousands of Dollars. Do not get involved with the business! We thought it would be a good choice because they said they would handle everything with our insurance. We started our project on Jan. 24th and were told it would take 3 month tops to complete. The contractor the was unresponsive for 4 months while we had a tarp over our roof. When they finally did the exterior work it was poorly done and there were several items not up to code or damages, that to date have not been corrected. No clean up was done and then the contractor "Kyle" disappeared again. There has been no response to any form of communication and we have not been able to get any meaningful response since July. They also accepted and cashed a check from our insurers for the interior work they have yet to do. It has almost been a year and the job is still incomplete. At this poi

SR was great to work with and they team did solid work on the job. The owner was very thorough with the scope of work and was always responsive when we had questions. Aside from the work, the owner is an easy person to talk to and does a nice job at making you feel like you matter. Kyle at Southern Restoration, accompanied by a fellow employee, showed up on time and kept open communication about our appointment and their expected arrival time. They did a thorough inspection and came to the conclusion that I did not need roof repair, as State Farm pushed for (out of my pocket) in order to keep home insurance on my new (old) home purchase. They could have taken the money and replaced the rippling, lumpy, or curved shingles, when in fact it's a structural issue under the roofing. I SO appreciate their honesty. I was very impressed with them and their company and will be hiring them for gutter repair, which they quoted same day. They are writing up an official report for State Farm on their letterhead to report their findings and State Farm's false accusations of a roof that is only 3 years old.
