We just completed an engagement with Professional Home Services at our home in Glen Allen, VA. This was one of the best experiences we have ever had with a contractor. The owner of the company, Mike Gundersen came to our home after we had sustained wind damage to our roof and made a careful inspection and then sat with us going over all of our options with no high pressure sales pitch at all, none. Once we accepted the quote, Mike scheduled the work and everything went as beautifully, as he had promised. The crew arrived on time and worked efficiently completing all their work in only two days. I had my roof replaced, gutters replaced (with guards), and had some soffit repair by PHS. I was looking for a company that could do all three, and allowed me not to try to get various companies contracted for the 3 separate jobs. I had a number of estimates done. Mike (the owner) was my first estimate. I immediately had a good vibe with Mike, and overall, he's a straight-shooter, that's not going to try to sell you anything you don't need, and he'll work with you budget. He also encouraged me to get other estimates as well. Another thing I liked about Mike, was he gave me a complete estimate, on the spot, and left me to think about it. He was always open to my questions, and I texted/emailed him over a 3-4 week period with various questions. He never put the hard sell on me or called to pester me.
