Cougar Heating and Air Conditioning

If this is your first choice to call, DEFINITELY get a second opinion!!! Definitely felt like all they wanted to do was tell me they couldn’t fix anything to get me to purchase BOTH a new furnace and A/C. I called when my A/C stopped working and was almost immediately told it could not be fixed and was advised to get a new unit. My system is on the older side so all of that seemed legit initially, but I did notice how quickly the technician determined it wasn’t fixable or that fixing it would potentially cost me what a new unit would be. Also he pulled the fuse out of the fuse box outside and left it like that as well as leaving the top of the unit unscrewed with the screws simply sitting there which could have ended up blown off by the wind (later telling me it was for safety reason but is it normal to leave parts undone and not put back together?). Was also told by Cougar that the R22 refrigerant is $600 per pound and I would need maybe 5 or 6 pounds to MAYBE fix it. However, th

It has been a few months since we had our ac unit installed. Everything went well, our new ac unit works well. Reason for 4 stars not 5 is because it took Cougar Heating and Air Conditioning months to have a city inspector inspect our unit. I mainly wanted to leave a review for Kalvin, he's an electrician with Cougar and he had to inspect our electrical system before our new AC was installed, he was professional and extremely knowledgeable. Extremely happy with his professionalism and service. The guys who installed our ac unit also did a good job.

Lamont from Cougarl did a great job servicing our furnace and explaining how all the parts worked together. We ended up buying a new furnace from him, as ours was well past its prime. We feel good about our purchase.
