During a very HOT August heat wave, my 17 year old Rheem Air Conditioner failed. Not too many months earlier, I had established a good repour with one of Precision Air's tech's and enjoyed the upfront information, honesty and pricing. I am a DIY guy and a Certified Aviation Mechanic, so I know and understand many aspects of homeownership and I was getting the correct answers to everything I needed to know. When the compressor of my A/C unit failed, I had the same tech come out to review my issues and after inspecting everything, we made an agreement to go for a new unit altogether. It was a good choice. This was on a Thursday. I secured the payment needed and on Monday a crew came out and installed a new (and upgraded in size) unit with a new "N" coil and copper lines, electrics, the whole thing. I had a single zone heating/cooling system modified to create a second zone controlled by a second thermostat. Very professional and thorough service starting with the first appointment to survey the location for the estimate. The day before the work was to be done the installation supervisor did a detailed review of the site and equipment. He also accompanied the work crew here the next morning to ensure a smooth start. The crew was great - competent, pleasant, and as tidy as possible. When we had some hvac issues our former service provider came in and told us that they could repair our furnace and AC for $6000. Or they could replace it for $20,000 - $25,000. For a small ranch style home of about 1600 sq ft. Not being a dummy I took some bids from other providers. Precision Air was the first to contact me and offered a free estimate. They were on time and the estimate was less than half what our former provider estimated. The gentleman who came to our home took the time to explain how they would replace the 30 year old furnace and repair the area where it was installed and also replace the AC unit that was over 20 years old. Several other bids came in and all around the same price point and one for less but we were impressed by Precision Air professionalism and responsiveness and contracted with them.
